BMW’s electric SUV gets new styling and a slew of other updates for the 2026 model year, including an entry-level trim that makes the electric luxury SUV a better value proposition.

BMW’s electric SUV is now better in every way. The updated 2026 BMW iX packs more power and has up to 340 miles of driving range. The 2026 BMW iX xDrive60 (previously the xDrive50) now makes 536 hp and 564 lb-ft of torque, with the M70 xDrive cranking output up to 650 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque.

The xDrive45 has a 0-60 mph acceleration of 4.9 seconds compared to the higher end ($111,500 starting) M70 xDrive version’s 3.6 seconds. If you dig the lit kidneys, you can get the new iX in the US starting in the second quarter of this year after production begins in March.

BMW has updated its iX electric SUV with a more aggressive design, increased power, and extended range, bringing it closer to the future Neue Klasse design language.

Munich has laid its restyling pen upon the iX, drawing a Neue Klasse lighting signature to go with a grille that’s just as large as before – albeit with different detailing. In other news, range is up and price (of entry) is down.
