Lord Krishna, the advisor of Pandavas, was aware of Babrika's abilities and power. He tested Babrika, and later revealed his true form, explaining the implications of Barbarika’s vow.

As Barbarika journeyed to the battlefield, Lord Krishna, disguised as a Brahmin, stopped him to test his strength. Krishna teased Barbarika about carrying only three arrows to the epic war.
