A man and woman from Athens were arrested Tuesday and charged with stealing more than $500 worth of merchandise from Walmart Supercenter in Hartselle, according to the Hartselle Police Department.

Many stores, businesses and medical facilities remain closed Wednesday after the snowstorm and trash removal is suspended.
