2012年9月27日 · Novice; hobby welding with: Mostly 6013 and some 6011, using 1/16" (ugh), 5/64" and 3/32" rods, On 1/8", 3/16", some occasional 1/4" flat stock, some rebar and 1/4" to 1/2" rod stock. For my light work, no structural stuff, the 6013's seem to work OK. My question is would there be any real advantage to use 7014 rods for any of this stuff?

2016年1月25日 · OP, just try the polarities with the 6013 you have and see which one you prefer. Minnesota explained the differences with polarity, perfectly. That said, I really prefer 6013 on A/C but DC- for really thin stuff when I don't feel like dragging out a mig and messing with shielding gas and the wind. But this is just me and how I like it. YMMV.

2004年2月29日 · 6011 is a fast-freeze rod used for dirty (or clean) surfaces and deep penetration. 6011 is a good choice for welding over galvanized. 6013 is a fill-freeze rod used on cleaner surfaces, with medium penetration and good results with poor fitup. 2011年3月12日 · I am welding t joints with 6013 3/32 dcep at about 80 amps. no problems with burn through but having alot of problems with slag in weld and in middle of weld . Did similar joints with 7018 other day no problems and some vertical also no problems. Haveing trouble getting hold of the 6013 tricks for good welds. any advise would be appreciated. thanks
