2006年12月5日 · I'm comparing the Dish channels to Comcast/Adelphia channels. For example, The Game Show Network (GSN) is on both Comcast/Adelphia Digital Cable and Dish Network. The Comcast/Adelphia version looks MUCH better on my HDTV. Both providers (eg. Dish and Comcast) were setup using an HD receiver set to output at 1080i over component cables.

So definitely, get Dish to switch you to the proper dish for 61.5º/72º/77º (Eastern Arc) Depending on where in the Cinci area you live, I would highly recommend a regular over the air antenna too.

2011年5月20日 · I've attached an instantaneous bit rate graph for a Dish Network HD channel and a comparable HD channel on Shaw Direct, a Canadian DBS provider, both measured from the original transport streams. A few notes are in order: the Dish numbers are for a H.264 video stream, but the format was misinterpreted by the tool as 1080p30 instead of 1080i60.

2008年10月24日 · if you want stretch mode on SD channels, toggle to the stretch mode using your * button on the bottom left portion of your remote. then, when you switch back to HD, make sure it's on normal mode. the remote will memorize your settings and switch to stretch on the SD channels and normal on the HD channels automatically. it's a nice feature.
