But now, based on some of the comments here, I'm going to wait for a teardown to make sure the slim still uses liquid metal cooling and is still relatively quiet. I had never considered those things NOT happening but this is Sony, and you can never be sure.

I just bought a JAP version Ps5 Slim in UAE. (CFI-2000A01). Clearly the stores here are saying that it is 120/240v. I checked the manual and PS5 and says 100v. Reading your post and comments about disassemble and check, i do not have the tools to do it. I want to listen to your opinion because i already returned one without trying. Thanks
PS5 Slim, extremely annoying high pitched noise, is this normal?
This newly bought PS5 Slim makes this weird high pitched noise that hurts my ears badly and makes me feel dizzy. I called my parents in to test if they heard it too and they confirmed it by immediately being annoyed by it. The sound can almost be heard through the entire house if the doors are open and bothers everyone in my family.

The question was: If the plastic feet (cuz that isn't a "stand") for the horizontal are that long and the disc drive is giving it stability, how would those same plastic feet work for the digital edition without putting the PS5 at an angle?

I bought a PS5 Slim because the OG versions are not really available anymore. But god, what an awful high pitch sound does the PS5 slim make. It is super annoying. I do not have the illusion that a PS5 is soundless, however it is the fact that the pitch of the sound is so high... it goes through everything.

2024年4月7日 · it wont. the ps5 is standing on its cover even when on the stand. Thats the clearance. The stand for the slim model, which sits inbetween the covers (so it wont have that natural clearance provided by the covers), has a 4mm deep duct that leads to the back. The ps5 sitting on its covers on a flat surface without a stand has a similar clearance.
