2009年10月21日 · Other than that the Lokar cable adjusts just like any other. Open your throttle all the way pull the cable out all the way and adjust the cable until it matches the WOT position. Then close the throttle and see if the unextended cable position matches the closed throttle position. Some pre-load on the cable is desired at idle position.

The actual rebuilt itself went smoothly, but upon reaching the last step of the process before I can actually test it out, I ran into issues with the TV system. I understand that for the adjustment to be correct, the plunger needs to be flush with the bushing at WOT.

2002年6月13日 · Instead, (engine off) release the TV (hold down the metal readjust tab at the engine end of the cable), move the slider until it stops against the fitting, then release the readjust tab. Now (most important) get in the car and press the accelerator to the floor to set the cable. Check that the cable moves freely. Now go for a short road test.

2009年11月15日 · The preferred way to adjust the TV cable is with a pressure gage. At idle the TV cable needs to be pulled out about 3/16" or ever so slightly. If you had a pressure gage you would use it to determine the unloaded pressure of the TV cable then pull it out until you see a slight pressure increase and this would be your idle position.

It has a three part series on how the pressure valve functions by the pull of the TV cable. If you get into it, copy it for further reference. It is a very good article.

2010年5月6日 · I was reading that the TV cable on a 700R4 when properly set should be pulled out approx 3/8 at idle. I am making up my own mounting bracket for the stock type TV cable and adjustment housing. As it is now when I connect my tv cable to the carb it ends up being pulled out a little less than the 3/8 inch.

Minimum setting is as important as maximum setting. you need full pull of the TV cable at wide open throttle. At idle there can be no slack 0r looseness in the TV cable. Is your vehicle carbureted or EFI ?
