2006年4月20日 · As for fuel color, I've noticed a slight bluish or greenish tint in ULSD. IIRC, the older LSD didn't have this color and had a very faint yellowish tint to it. Raw ULSD as it comes straight from the refinery is supposedly clear like water and doesn't meet the current lubricity spec (max wear scar diameter of 520 microns in HFRR test).

1998年6月20日 · 'Real' premium diesel fuel tends to be more clear or a very light straw yellow color. I doubt your Opitlube would be enough to change the color of your fuel. Bio-diesel also tends to make fuel more darkish gold or brown in color. I haul this stuff from the terminal to the retail stations so I see all this color variance daily.

2002年10月1日 · The clerk thought that they bought Sunoco fuel. Oddly enough the "unbranded" station's fuel gives me slightly better mpg. Could be a placebo effect. Couple cents cheaper too! Not sure what color our Mobil stations diesel is - I never go there. I'll start going there if I ever buy stock in ExxonMobil. The green reminds me of the color of antifreeze.

2013年9月10日 · Never ever use the color to pick the correct pump. Always look for the word diesel and select that one to use. As you found using the color will result in misfueling. There is no standardized code used for the different fuels at stations. There is never any confusion if you select the one that says diesel regardless of the color.
