Based in New Orleans, Louisiana, Jill Stoll reorders the built and natural worlds through collage.

Drawing inspiration from indigenous weaving techniques, Jill transforms discarded cardboard boxes into intricate weavings. This process involves scavenging materials from local businesses and personal deliveries, cutting the boxes into strips, and creating improvised looms using push pins, binder clips, and glue.

Jill's practice is rooted in resourcefulness, as she seeks inspiration from the overlooked abundance of materials, such as cardboard, plastic bottles, and the invasive cat's claw vine (Uncaria tomentosa). Her art serves as an audit of her own consumer habits, using these materials as a reflection on consumption and sustainability.
