2023年7月16日 · Fort what it's worth, I released a game last month, which supports Quest 1. It's an open-world adventure game set on a Viking island, where you talk to people, complete quests, fight wolves, explore in houses and caves, etc. And you get to have a cool torch and ride in boats! I spent a lot of time making sure it runs well on the Quest 1.

Strengths of the Quest 1 over Quest 3: Oled display over cheap LCD True blacks vs gray blacks. This is really important in many games, and when watching movies Quest 1 has the option to sideload games. I understand that Meta took extra efforts to close all options for this on the Quest 3 Strengths of the Quest 3 over Quest 1:

Okey. I've done some digging and only found that he talked about making the quest 1 having 90hz which does not mean that the current display on your quest 1 can do 90hz. Plus its using a super old snapdragon chip, which wil likely have tons of problem if you try to up it. I will stand by that the quest 1 has a display that can only do 72hz.

2022年8月6日 · The oculus website has the card as compatible with link though, so it may run fine. Another thing of note is the Quest 1 has a slightly lower max refresh rate of 72 compared to the CV1’s 90 but the quest 1 has a higher resolution screen (so less screen door effect) compared to the CV1, so games will feel more real.

2023年3月29日 · Yeah I had the og quest for a while and would play this game called population 1 or somthing, it was a battle royal game, super fun. When the quest 2 came out I tried to play it again on the 1 and it said I had to buy the new headset to play it. Wasted $30 on the game and abt $400 on the headset I cant even play a good game on.

2023年7月22日 · More on the 90% thing, I didnt realize till I had the battery out that the nominal voltage is still different on the quest 1, only slightly, but it is a 4.3V "HVli" cell with slightly different chemistry. the Quest 2 has a 4.4V extra super duper HV cell I guess, but to the BMS voltage is voltage, It doesn't know what kind of lipo its attached to.

I mean that kinda depends on how much $50 is worth to you. Will quest 1 compete with modern headsets that cost substially more. No. Especially for native apps. But if you want an older headset to tinker with and play PCVR with than $50 is pretty insignificant. I have one personally as well as a quest 3 and find it fun to mess with from time to ...

2023年6月9日 · Hello, I tried to use my Quest 1 for the first time in a few months today on my PC and it won't work. Apparently the Oculus desktop software version has to match the Quest 1 software version, and since the Quest 1 is no longer updated it won't work with a link cable, but I can't find anyone else talking about this.

2024年1月18日 · I have the Quest 1 and I can say that even if it was supported the experience would probably be horrible (unless you have a good PC to use with the Quest 1). Rec Room was already laggy on Quest 1 and from what I've heard VR Chat is even heavier.
