2023年11月25日 · The PHS docs say that my 68 came with black steel wheels, deluxe wheel covers and red line tires. Any suggestion as to what wheel covers were available in 68? The car has 15” chrome rally II’s with cooper radials (which I like) but I would like a second set of original wheels/tires. Are the covers shown in the picture attached correct?

My car is an unrestored car that was ordered with white wall tires (dealer order sheet to show it was ordered with white walls) But the car ended up with red line tires when it arrived from GM to the Dealership when new.

2012年6月29日 · Redline tires were standard equipment because these tires were high performance tires made from nylon where the standard tires on other models, white walls (optional on the GTO at no cost) were made out of Rayon. Now if you have a concours level car, try buying a red line tire that says on the sidewall made from nylon.

These are also shows as standard equipment on both the coupe and convertible SS396 but not the El Camino. 1969 shows F70x14 PW8 for all except wagon plus a G70x14 for the Custom El Camino under RPO PK4.

Coker sells bias ply tires for authentic restorations, and radial tires if you want modern performance, and plan on driving your muscle car on a regular basis. With brands like Firestone, BFGoodrich (bias ply and radial), U.S. Royal, Coker Classic and American Classic there are plenty of choices when it comes to redline tires.

What can be done to brighten them up again? what have you tried? try a tire cleaner like wesley bleach white. or something similar should work. Simple Green and a Scotch Brite pad. Simple Green is my go to go-to as well.
