2023年9月7日 · Yes, it happened to the wet bay door of our 2022 New Aire 3545 in May. We arrived at a campground, I opened the wet bay door to hook up water, and the door fell a few inches. Newmar overnighted the replacement rings, but the mobile tech we got couldn't get back to us (after diagnosing the problem the day after we arrived) for almost a week.

2019年7月11日 · I decided to remove the latch from the def door, install it on the bay, and put my repaired latch back on the DEF door. If it fails there, I can easily access it from behind as it is exposed to the elements. As a final fix, I adjusted the bay striker bar so that it now operates with a gentle slam..as it should. _____

2023年11月10日 · Newmar's fix is simply replace the Circlip and the tube that failed. My solution replaces their parts with solid 3d printed parts that can handle the door weight and won't fail again. If you have a 3d printer, I can send you the print files.

2023年7月9日 · I will be calling Newmar to see if there is an improved hinge retaining mechanism. If not, I will machine new hinge bushings that will have a sheer and jam nut in place of the crappy snap ring. I will post my fix and who knows?

2023年3月7日 · Your bay door latch closes against a "D" shaped ring bolted to the bay door frame. The "D" ring bolts can be loosened, and the ring moved up/down and in/out. Typically, when the door is hard to close, the "D" ring needs to be adjusted outward toward you.
