2005年2月24日 · Actually, I don't think games like Onslaught are effected by the lockout. I have a late model 1 Genesis and a model 2, and Onslaught and Double Dragon play just fine on both of them. AFAIK, it's only the early EA titles like Budokan and Zany Golf that won't run on later systems (unless you have a Game Genie).

2011年3月20日 · Still you can attach a model 1 Genesis to a model 2 sega CD for the best of both worlds. The base extension is also just there for looks so its not necessary to use it with a model 1 genesis / model 2 sega cd combo. The model 1 Genesis is also better because headphones and power base converter compatibility.

2012年12月21日 · My earliest Genesis Model 1, which is a VA2 motherboard revision manufactured in 1989, had a serious amount of distortion and very muffled sound due to bad capacitors. Consider replacing the capacitors in that HIGH DEFINITION GRAPHICS Genesis Model 1 as MaxWar stated.

2002年10月8日 · As you may or may not know, awhile back I posted about trying to hook a Genesis Model 1, a Sega CD Model 2, and a 32X together AND get stereo sound. Well I was able to get the whole Frankenstein system together and it works, but sill no stereo sound.

2008年3月16日 · It is just awkward that Sega didn't mention anything like"to be use with 10V 1.2A A/C adapter only"in their systems manuals.And still,all of the Genesis 1 and Sega CD's systems are crearly labeled Rating:9V 1.2A at the bottom of their shells and yet,they were packed with a 10V 1.2A supply.....

2013年5月26日 · Actually, there are three revisions of the model 1 Genesis. There are some without high definition graphics written on them that have the same sound processor, so the audio is the same. You just need to watch out for the third revision which which has the inferior audio.

2016年6月11日 · Sega Genesis Model 1 (VA5/VA6). Got it off ebay from someone who said it worked for 10mins then died. Power supply is good. Gets 13v from the jack to the ground of the motherboard. Was only getting 7v at the regulator input and 0v at the output, so I replaced them both (there are 2). The console still wouldn't power on.

2008年10月25日 · Also, the reason Sega put the words high definition graphics there on the early model Genesis consoles was nothing to do with HD resolution, but because Genesis was capable of much better-defined, more colorful, richer graphics than the NES or their own Master System, closer to what arcade games had.

2010年1月18日 · The VA7 Genesis Model 1 is the big turd, and up in my part of Canada(Montreal), it's the most common Genesis Model 1 there is. I either find that or a non-TMSS model. I haven't seen a VA6 Genesis Model 1 aside from my modified VA6 in a LONG time. But the Genesis Model 2 in general sucks.
