2024年12月24日 · I recently picked up a Model 25, 4 screw frame that came with the optional muzzle brake. I've only seen a few of these things and I'm wondering if they have any value. It looks like it was never installed on my gun and the factory letter says it did not show on the invoice. I posted pics of the gun recently, without the brake showing.

2024年12月29日 · You can get a replacement cylinder stop at Cylinder Stop, Used Factory Original. WRT refinishing the gun - there is no "restoration" to collector status. Once the original finish is gone, it has 0 collector value and is just a pretty shooter. I have done this for a number of revolvers that were in deplorable condition.

2020年2月12日 · Does the 5.7 have a value as a self defense round....I say no. Its a cool round meant for a cool gun but the cost of both the guns and the round is prohibitive. Also its a powerful round and the risk of over penetration with a fast flying small round would be much greater than with a "typical" round.

2024年9月25日 · For an apples to oranges comparison, I have an 8 3/8 in nickel 29-2 on lawaway for $1200. Shooter grade, no box or papers (I’ll post pictures when I get it in a week or so). Given that, I’d say yours is probably fair market value for a nice one with 4 inch barrel and presentation case. Like you, I didn’t need it, but it spoke to me.

2024年12月31日 · I recently acquired a 1959 S&W pre model 50 Chiefs Special Target blue with a 2" BBL. I would grade the gun around 98% with the original grips and box. I can't find any price comparatives on this model. Could someone give me a "ballpark" value? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

2025年1月6日 · Varies based on the auction company, the application used, your sales tax, shipping/insurance. I buy at the RIA auctions occasionally and add 27.5% to my bid; 17.5 for buyers premium, 8.25% for sales tax (which also applies to the buyers premium).
