Also, both McAfee and Norton continuously try to upsell you...funny considering the MS product does not do the same...it's Microsoft - ha!

Both are sufficient to keeping Windows secure. Now we’re on Windows 11 where it’s the most secure Windows version. Norton is fine but isn’t necessary on a modern secure OS.

The moment I unzipped the GitHub folder windows went apesh¡t and deleted them. I was literally intentionally downloading harmful code and windows said no. I found a way around it but the point is windows defender is solid. Just don’t click on sketchy links or run unsigned executables.

2023年12月18日 · I have had excellent experiences with Microsoft Defender since I began subscribing to Office 365 since 2016. Never had my PC's compromised. I run about a dozen. I've tried Norton and it's OK but comes for an extra cost. Of course. For me Defender is an excellent value. And in closing the best defense is knowing how to avoid problems.
