Aug 25, 2023 · As a piece of design, I think the i8 is beautiful, but as a car, it can be a little awkward. BMW has obviously entered another era of design, for better or for worse. I would argue that the iX is the i8 or the E65 7-Series of this era. I think it's beautiful in some ways and equally hideous in many others.

Feb 9, 2019 · You have to figure out who you trust on 0-60 times, but depending on who you trust, the range is 3.8-4.2, 0-60 (car and driver time v. bmw official times). A Huaracan is, what, 250k or more new, an i8 is 150 new (the convertible one is 170, but ive seen those marked down as low as 130-140, and I assert bmw way overprices those, specifically).

May 28, 2023 · In fact, the engine ALPINA used was actually the same 2.0 liter turbocharged four-pot that now powers the BMW M135i. Except it was tuned to make around 350 horsepower, rather than the M135i’s 302 horsepower. Throw in the electric motors and the ALPINA i8 was a far more potent machine than its BMW counterpart.

Sep 1, 2020 · I think the Jester looks close to it, I know it's more closer to the Acura, but the paint scheme seems to be the same as the i8 two tone. And looks more modern than the ubermacht sc1 (tho the sc1 does have a rear that looks more like the i8)

Jul 11, 2022 · It’s really not though. You can get a new M8 for the same price as a new i8 or a used 570s or lp580 huracan for the price of an i8 roadster. If they put a v8 or even the inline 6 from the f80 in the i8 then I would agree with you but are you taking an actual supercar or a glorified prius with one less cylinder?
