And now there's a new wine red nickel hardware ES-175 for 400,- Euros less than the ES-175 WR NH reissue did cost earlier. So I wonder if there's a difference.

2010年11月17日 · The ES-175 is a hollow body guitar something like three inches thick. Most modern ones come with Gibson Humbucking Pickups, mine if not all have 57 Classic pickups. The bridge of the guitar is just resting on the front of the guitar and not attached, very acoustic sounding and jazzy blues.

2010年3月26日 · The Broadway's longer scale (and larger body) give it more note definition and punch. It's top being spruce (compared to the ES-175's maple) is livelier and more resonant, so the tone is throatier. I used to own a Gibson ES-175 and have played Epi 175's, currently own both a Broadway and Joe Pass Emperor II.

2012年3月24日 · I also have put Gold A-6's in my L4 CES and a B6 into my 2010 ES 175 SP. All very good pickups. However about a year ago I bought an acoustic D'Aquisto New Yorker and ordered a D'Aquisto New Yorker floating pickup at the same time. Reason was that I couldn't get an electric New Yorker and I thought that I should take a chance.

2011年11月4日 · It’s a wonderful sounding/playing guitar. I can get convincing George Benson tones from the neck pickup, very warm Chet Atkins Gibson-era double pick up sounds and organic, biting bridge pickup sounds. But it also sounds great overdriven from mild to heavy. So it’s also an ES-175 that is more manageable at higher volumes than the fat ones.

2020年5月31日 · Can't find any info on what a ES 175 C might be. When the guitar first came out it had a single pickup, and later a second pickup was added thus a designation of ES 175 D (for dual pickups). The last reference to that model was about 2016 when they did a replica of a '59 ES 175 with two pickups.

2008年4月27日 · As you can see from Dan's pictures, the ES-175 has the maple veneer on the whole body as opposed to the Epi Zephyr Regent which is the Epi equivalent to the Gibson ES-165 and has the maple veneer top and mahagony sides and back. At least that is the way mine are. I own a Zephyr Regent as well as a Epi ES-175, both are Epiphones.
