2022年2月18日 · I’d say it serves as a pretty good greatest hits album. One of my first Led Zeppelin related purchases and helped me to develop a new appreciation for their music. Both discs give a nice little slice of every album. The Dazed and Confused solo blaring at full volume while going 70 mph beats a set of headphones any day of the week.

2022年4月13日 · Unlike Mothership, it is a live album. Because of this, it is obviously not going to be exactly like the studio version(s) but that is not a negative whatsoever. One of the things that makes Zeppelin so special is that their live performances are 9/10 times going to be better than the studio versions.

Mothership misses out the ocean and in my time of dying but includes in the evening and all my love because the record label will feel obliged to put at least one or two songs from each album one, even if this means missing out some fan favourites (all the aforementioned songs are good, but the latter two are somewhat weaker imo).

2019年11月26日 · Led_Z Most albums that have one record are about $20-$23 from what I’ve found, and most Gatefolds that have 2 records are around $30-$45. Mothership has 4 records in it in total so to me the price is justified.

2015年8月30日 · Mothership contains most of their great songs but if you want the full experience, go for the full albums. I have all of the newest remasters and they sound phenomenal to me. Granted that I don't have any other pressings to compare to.

2022年4月2日 · So thanks to the Professor of Rock on YouTube I've now become a fan of Led Zeppelin. No idea why it took me so long. 😁 Can anyone tell me the best compilation album for the band? I'm listening to their Mothership remaster but I'm detecting distortion in multiple tracks and I'm not sure if it's the album or my Internet connection.
