2021年3月29日 · I don’t feel like that about Sunstone: they look like an orange mass with Steven’s clothes, Garnet’s gloves (which don’t change in the least, weird) and her shades, which are the only thing that changes. And their sandals are somehow different, which means they are part of their body so… where are Steven’s sandals right now?

2023年3月19日 · Sunstone is the straight up unapologetic amalgam of Steven and Garnet's arrogance and their strong desire to help those around them. They both think that if they don't help nobody will. As for the form I think that it's major differences and lack of similarity to either base character is due to their preference for consistency.

2022年1月29日 · I love Sunstone, all of Steven’s fusions (with his human fusions being a bit of an exception) have his bubblyness and happiness. Sunstone is a walking safety PSA with a head of fire, Rainbow 2.0 is Marry Poppins, literally with nanny powers of cleaning up, and Smoky uses a big Yo-yo and is always cracking jokes.

Sunstone IS exactly what a mix a garnet and steven would be. I don't like Sunstone but anything different wouldn't have felt authentic. Like if the steven fusions were all super cool baddies it just wouldn't make sense. They need to be sort of goofy. I personally really really like that Steven's only non goofball fusion is stevonnie.
