Nope, YubiKey 5 NFC on the orbitkey, sorry for the confusion. Weight really has never been a concern imo. It would be impressive if you could put enough in a orbitkey (which only holds a max of 7 keys anyway according to the website) to make it dangerously heavy for the USB port.

2020年7月23日 · The Yubikey will still have a bit of an advantage in that it will probably be cheaper and require less space etc. to have backup Yubikeys than backup smartphones built for security; and people are probably less likely to accidentally lose their Yubikey on a keychain then they are to leave a phone behind.

2021年5月19日 · With my yubikey 5C NFC, the process is essentially the same. There is a yubico authenticator app which I use on my phone in place of the authy app. The difference is, I set up the 2fa in this app, which requires that I physically tap my yubikey to my phone, or plug the yubikey into my phone in order to get the codes out of the app.

I used it to login via Yubikey Authenicator app. Hidden shortcomings is that Yubikey 5 has lot of features and a learning curve. The other is that I plan to buy a second key as a backup because security is only as strong as your weakest link. If you still choose sms as your backup login method, people can bypass your Yubikey to login.

2021年7月25日 · First, there is no $650 YubiKey. That is the YubiHSM. It is designed to store cryptographic secrets on servers, a Certificate Authority for example. It is not an authentication device. The YubiKey 5 Series keys (both FIPS and non-FIPS) are the latest YubiKey authentication devices.

2021年3月15日 · The only device that comes with me when I go mobile is the Yubikey, which gets plugged in directly to the laptop. However when I am at my desk, the Yubikey gets plugged into the dock, not the laptop itself. This creates a single persistent issue. The Yubikey Authenitcator will only recognize the Yubikey when plugged directly into the laptop.

Should I buy at least 2 Yubikeys of the same model? How do I go about making identical/backup yubikeys so if my 1st Yubikey breaks, then I can use my 2nd Yubikey?
