Today we said farewell to Retired Homicide Sergeant Tommy Harris. Tommy spent 45 years in law enforcement. He started at Lynwood PD in 1973, when the Sheriff’s department assumed law enforcement duties from the city, Tommy transferred to patrol at Lakewood. He was proud to be one of the first detectives in the OSS unit, a member of mounted patrol, and a Drill Instructor at the academy where he promoted to sergeant.
