Common nine bark is a beautiful easy to grow native shrub that has a range from central Canada in the United States all the way to the East Coast and down to the south east region. Common Ninebark can get 6 to 8 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet wide and prefers full sun or partial sun. it flowers in late spring and should be pruned after the flowers have died. After the plant is four years old, you can start pruning back the old thick stems down to the base. Every five years or so you can prune it all
